The origin of the C4 Trío is directly related to the "Concurso Internacional La Siembra del Cuatro" (International Competition The Sowing of the Cuatro), event conceived by master Cheo Hurtado, in which Jorge Glem, Héctor Molina and Edward Ramírez had outstanding participations in 2004 and 2005. As a consequence of those experiences is that, in November 2005, these three musicians were invited, as well as a fourth cuatro player, Rafael Martínez, to participate in a concert organized by "Fundación Multifonía" (The "Multifonía Fundation"). In the concert, each one of them would show their work as a soloist, but, spontaneously, the four musicians decided to make duets, trios, and a final performance playing as a quartet. That moment marked the genesis of this union that keeps the Venezuelan cuatro as a predominant figure.
El origen de C4 Trío está directamente emparentado con el Concurso Internacional La Siembra del Cuatro, ideado por el maestro Cheo Hurtado, en el cual Jorge Glem, Héctor Molina y Edward Ramírez tuvieron excelentes participciones en la ediciones de 2004 y 2005. Y es a raíz de ello cuando, en Noviembre de 2005, estos tres músicos fueron invitados, junto a un cuarto cuatrista, Rafael Martínez, a participar en un concierto organizado por la Fundación Multifonía. Allí, cada uno haría una muestra de su trabajo como solista, pero espontáneamenteestos músicos decidieron hacer dúos, tríos y un cierre final a cuarteto. Este momento marcó la génesis de este ensamble que tiene como figura predominante el cuarteto venezolano.

Jose has performed with "Amaya: Flamenco Sin Limites", Venezuelan pop artist Felix Roman, Juan Francisco, Roldan Pena's Jazz 3, Flamenco y Duende, and Sara es Rara. He is also currently the drummer/percussionist for The Randy Armstrong Trio, T.J Wheeler, and Ottawa-based flamenco guitarist, James Cohen.Bajo el concepto de fusionar fronteras y cruzar límites, ZumbaTres es una banda donde la sutil combinación del impresionismo francés y la llamarada rítmica de la cultura suramericana toma un giro inesperado. Teniendo sus raíces en la esencia del jazz, la banda, liderada por el baterista venezolano Jose Duque, ofrece un estimulante y novedoso sonido que mezcla marcas de tiempo impares con sus ritmos influenciados por la cultura latina.
Jose Duque se ha presentado con "Amaya: Flamenco Sin Limites", el artista pop venezolano Félix Roman, Juan Francisco, Jazz 3, Flamenco y Duende, y Sara es Rara. También trabaja actualmente como baterista/percusionista del Randy Armstrong Trio, T.J Wheeler, y Ottawa basada en el guitarrista de flamenco, James Cohen.
