El Taller is proud to present The Robert Anderson Jazz Band, featuring singer Christine "Skylark" Larkin.  

The band began as a workshop in the Harlem residence of bass player and band leader, Robert Anderson, and his wife, pianist Cheryl Anderson. After working with several musicians, they established the current ensemble that also includes Ira Atkins on drums, Desta Walker on saxophone and Kiane Zawadi on trombone. Each musician comes from an eclectic background of expertise and performance and together they display a unique arrangement on jazz standards, as well as some popular favorites.  

Although this is the band's debut at El Taller, Ms. Larkin has performed here in the past with other ensembles. She was introduced to El Taller's founder and Artistic Director Bernardo Palombo through her singing with folk legend, Pete Seeger and the New York City Street Singers.
