Formers and Performers presents German-born guitarist Torsten de Winkel,former member of the Pat Metheny Group and founder of the UNESCO-recommended Bimbache openART initiative and festival, platforms for the collaboration of artists and thinkers from diverse backgrounds and traditions.  

He will presents an evening of encounters, teaching, discussion and a concert of his European trio. 

At 8:30pm will be a Master Class on The Language of Rhythmic Interaction for All Secrets of Rhythmic Communication: motif development, shifting of accents in the style of Herbie Hancock, the South Indian tradition

Followed at 9:30pm by a performance by TORSTEN DE WINKEL EUROPEAN TRIO with PHIL DONKIN (London) - TOBIAS BACKHAUS (Berlin) and surprise guests from Spain and Latin America.
