Trío Mielgo-Condomí-Correa: An Evening of Argentine Folk Tradition

El Taller is proud to host Samy Mielgo and his Trio. Masterful musicians, educators and composers, the evening is will explore the traditions of Argentine folkloric rhythms, as well as original compositions from the group. Previously, the Trío has recorded 2 albums "Pequeñas Alegrías" and "A Otro Lugar". 

Samy Mielgo, a native of General Pico, Argentina has shared the stage as a guitarist with renowned artists such as Marian Farías Gómez, Guadalupe Gómez Farías, César Isella and Marina Santillan (with whom he toured the United States in 2010), among others. He divides his time between recording, as well as serving as a master guitar teacher and choir director. 

Quique Condomí was born in Chacabuco, Buenos Aires. Currently, he is also violinist for the Morgado Quartet and the Orchestra of Tango Buenos Aires. He teaches and often provides musical accompaniment for several recording projects. 

Eduardo Correa was born in La Plata. A pianist, guitarist, arranger and composer, he has shared the stage and record with artists such as León Gieco, Oscar Alem, Adrian Abonizio, among others. He has worked as a producer and received awards for his work across Latin America. Eduardo often travels to present workshops and lectures related to folk music of Argentina and Latin America.
