El Taller Latino Americano is proud to present Karl Berger and his Improviser's Orchestra, as part of our 35th Anniversary celebration - 35 Years Taller. Jazz great Karl Berger returns to El Taller, where he will explore world music along with his Improvisational Orchestra of 20+ professional string, horn, and percussion soloists. Using his "Music Mind" concept, Karl will conduct this extraordinary group of improvising cohorts as they explore original and spontaneous themes, melodies from the world's folk traditions and compositions written by such legendary improvisers as Don Cherry, Ornette Coleman, and the trademarks vocalization and poetry of Ingrid Sertso.
