El Taller Latino Americano is proud to present Martín De León, as part of our 35th Anniversary celebration - 35 Years Taller. The acclaimed singer arrives to share an evening of Tango and New Songs, to support El Taller, where he made his NYC debut.
"Argentine tenor Martin De León has quite simply one of the finest voices I have ever heard for Tango and Latin American popular music." Joseph McLellan, The Washington Post.
Celebrated throughout Latin America, De León has been called the "Pavarotti of Tango," and most recently performed with the National Symphony Orchestra of Ecuador. Well known for his multifaceted interpretation of the Tango, which reaches deep within his soul and roots, De León incorporates new composers with fresh perspectives while honoring the classics he admires and respects. León has performed all over the world. Nationally, he has appeared in venues ranging from Carnegie Hall to the Houston Astrodome.
