Meester Rodriguez's Neighborhood

In Meester Rodriguez's Neighborhood, my parody of Eddie Murphy's SNL sketch Mr. Robinson's Neighborhood, itself a parody of Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood, Meester Rodriguez already knows his circumstance. He knows how to survive. He is an immigrant running from ICE,

telling his story to a kid's TV audience, forced to act less intelligent than he is to survive. Leaning into stereotypes, making himself appear more confused, performing a character that the world has assigned him, which he navigates with complete awareness.

Pirandello would label Rodriguez:
