The "Fernando Huergo Quintet" will be performing Argentinean Jazz.  The quintet includes Chris Cheels, Mika Pohjola, Julio Santillan, Fernando Huergo and Franco Pinna.

Fernardo Huergo has recorded over 70 albums, including 7 as leader and has toured in North, Central and South America, Europe and Asia. Among the groups he has performed with are the bands of Danilo Perez, Guillermo Klein, Victor Mendoza, Luciana Souza, Hendrick Meurkens, Dave Liebman, Dave Samuels, Nando Michelin, Los Changos, Pablo Ablanedo, Katie Viqueira, Marta Gomez, El Eco, Mark Shilansky, Fernando Tarres, The Jinga Trio, Edu Tancredi, Gilson Schachnick, Fernando Brandao, Teresa Ines, Humberto Ramirez, Eguie Castrillo, Tony Lujan and many others.

Fernando was born in Cordoba, Argentina in 1968. He graduated from Berklee College of Music in 1992, where he is a Faculty Member in the Bass Department since 1996, with the position of Assistant Professor. He also teaches at Tufts University.
