Peñas are South American musical get-togethers that started during the 60s in Chile and Argentina, then extended to other Latin American countries. There are a lot of musicians at a peña but their main task is to get the audience to sing and participate. To describe it in an inter-generational context, a peña is a combination of hootenanny, coffeehouse and open mike. Food is usually served and there is often folk dancing.
Participating in this Peña del Taller will be Joshua Brown, Mochi Parra, Bernardo Palombo, Sabrina Lastman, Marcos Wasen, Guillermo Cardenas, Ricardo Cuevas, Malena, Ana Cienfuentes, Diana Toledo and Carlos Cervantes.
The exact date of this concert is not known, but it occurred in the marked year around this time.
