Esa Llovizna Azul

There are few individuals who can carry on the legacy of Mercedes Sosa. Rebecca Salazar is one of those few.

A versatile singer and musician born to Guatemalan immigrants and raised in New York, Rebecca Salazar's powerful voice has the ability to carry everything from tangos to rancheras, to folk and opera, and is inspired by singers from Ella Fitzgerald to Celia Cruz. The night's repertoire will include songs made popular by the greats of Latin America, but will also bring to life a selection rare and little known songs such as Carlos Barocela's "Lluvia", from which the concert takes its title.

Rebecca Salazar will be accompanied by Nilko Andreas (guitar), Juan Barrera (percussion), Guillermo Cardenas (percussion), Barry Kornhauser (cello), Guillermo Vaisman (accordion), and Bernardo Palombo (voice and guitar).
