Join us for a family-friendly matinee as part of Ofreo Duo's Oh, What a Neighborhood!, a series of concerts and composition workshops celebrating Morningside Heights and West Harlem through music by local composers past, present, and just beginning. The performance will feature original compositions by Vita and Ishmael Wallace, Jerome Kern, Demian Palombo, and neighborhood children. 

The Orfeo Duo, comprised of brother and sister Ishmael Wallace and Vita Wallace, are known for their close rapport with each other and their power of communication in performance, encouraging and inspiring audiences of all ages and backgrounds. Their repertoire includes daring and fresh interpretations of Beethoven and Schumann sonatas for violin and piano, but they are equally at home singing and playing the accordion and enjoy exploring many styles of music.
