Generations: Mike & Aleksi Glick

Join us for the return of father and son duo - Generations: Mike & Aleksi Glick, with guests The Bailen Brothers .

The night will feature a repertoire of songs from folk music legends from North and South America such as Mercedes Sosa's "Cancion con Todos" and Woody Guthrie's "Deportee", in addition to original compositions by each of the performers.

Mike and Aleksi Glick have joined forces as "Generations", a father/son guitar and songwriting duo. Both bring unique talents to this new mix. Mike toured the USA, Europe and Asia winning fans and praise from The New York Times' Robert Palmer who wrote, "Their material has the sound and rhythms of Brazilian... and Afro-Cuban music (and) is more rousing and musically substantive than the music of city folk singers of previous generations.
The Bailen Brothers
Songwriting twin duo David and Daniel Bailen have been playing music and writing songs ever since the womb, in fact, they came out singing in perfect harmony! The two grew up singing in the Metropolitan Opera Children's Chorus, where both were featured soloists. In 2007, the two went into the studio and recorded their first album as The Bailen Brothers Band, "Come and Get Your Art." The band made their national television debut when they were featured on Nickelodeon throughout that summer.

The members of the band emanate from NYU and Juilliard and have been playing on the New York Club scene since 2007, with short college tours in the Northeast and California. In 2010, the band moved to Florence, Italy, where they had a weekly residency at two clubs in the city center. They also performed at other venues around Italy including the Blue Note in Milan, and The Pinocchio Club.

On their return to New York, the band kept the weekly residency going by hosting Thursday Throwdowns at the Local 269. Since being back, the Bailen Brothers have played on the Vh1 Save the Music Summer Concert Series, Harlem Jazz Museum's Annual July 4th Concert in the Park, and the CMJ Music Marathon. They have also played residencies at the Bowery Poetry Club, Bitter End, Sullivan Hall and the Studio @ Webster Hall.

They are currently working with world-renowned producer Joe Mardin in New York, and are releasing their first full-length record on February 11th. For more information and listen to samples of their music, please visit or "Like" them on Facebook at
