Celebrando a Victor, su alegría y su poesía 

Come and join us to Celebrate the life of Victor Hernandez. Let's honor his memory with music and good friends. 

Let's sing his poems and remember his happiness and "sus ganas de vivir".

Victor Hernandez 

In around 1999, Victor began coming to El Taller. He would lend a hand in maintaining the space (we have around 4,000 square feet of classrooms and a gallery/performance space). He would also spend time, in the quiet of late night hours, writing poems and learning to play instruments - the harmonica, the trombone, the guitar...

One day, he shared some poems with Bernardo and his friend, and fellow musician, of many years José Valdés ( also see El Grupo). They immediately began setting the poems, that they felt were really lyrics, to music. The result of those noches de bohemia, was a project that the whole Taller got involved in. Recorded in ET's in-house studio friends lent their talents - from graphic design, photographs, articles for the press, guest musicians to the recording and mixing itself.
