A three night festival of avant-garde music and poetry, representing our diverse America -the original peoples, those brought here unwillingly, and those who have immigrated, by and for people of all ages and background. Arts for Art and El Taller Latino Americano partner to present the second annual Raza y Resistencia festival, an UnColumbus Celebration.
Emphasizing community, this final night will feature youth performances, an open workshop, and will culminate with a free performance with William Parker, Cooper-Moore, Rob Brown and more. Also performing is 13 year old drummer phenom Kojo Roney with fellow prodigies Emilio Modeste and Dylan Reis. El Taller founder/artistic director/composer Bernardo Palombo will lead an ensemble with students from the Castle Bridge school.
