Evelyn Palmer: Take Me To The River

The Grady Alexis Gallery at El Taller Latino Americano is pleased to present "Take Me To The River" a photography exhibition by artist Evelyn Palmer. 

This collection offers such remarkable and varied perspectives that viewers will be surprised to learn it is a deep exploration of a single subject-a small stream in the Catskill Mountains. The abstract images evoke figures or landscapes not expected from this environment, and, though most of them depict areas of only a few square inches, they appear to have come from a much broader field of view. Because of the way they capture texture, color, light and movement, many of the photographs resemble paintings. 

The artist's intention is to encourage others to look beyond surface appearances and experiences to discover life's meaning and beauty. The exhibit is presented in support of breast cancer patient care and research.
